Research – Education

In collaboration with universities and other medical bodies, NIIM conducts research into the safety and efficacy of integrative medicine and complementary therapies for the prevention, detection and treatment of disease.

The Institute conducts research in many areas including cancer, heart health, cognition, chronic diseases, and mind-body medicine. NIIM is proud to contribute to the growing scientific evidence base showing that the integrative medical approach supports the treatment of complex illnesses and also improves general health and wellbeing.

IMPROVING YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE WITH KYOLIC AGED GARLIC

Around 33% of Australian adults suffer from high blood pressure. Here at NIIM we’ve been conducting research and clinical trials to investigate how daily consumption of aged garlic can impact people with hypertension.

Education

NIIM is committed to raising awareness of Integrative Medicine in the general and medical communities through seminars, lectures, educational courses and the media. NIIM offers a short course for healthcare practitioners, healthcare support workers and the general public.
