A balance of theory and practical advice, this seminar will explore the fascinating world of exercise biology and neurobiology. Neuroscientist & Exercise Physiologist Paul Taylor will take a deep dive into the evidence-based role of exercise in the prevention and treatment of a host of chronic diseases and conditions, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, T2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, depression, anxiety, back-pain and most mental health disorders. He will also explore the different but complementary effects of cardiovascular and strength training on both lifespan and healthspan, along with recommendations for different age groups.
Paul Taylor will unpack and explore:
- Evidence-based understanding of exercise’s role in preventing and treating chronic diseases
- Knowledge of the distinct benefits of cardiovascular and strength training
- Specific exercise recommendations tailored to different age groups.
There will be time for you to engage with Paul and ask any questions you may have.
