Dr Alice Murkies

Integrative General Practitioner

Dr Alice Murkies has worked in General Practice in Melbourne for many years. She was a clinician, researcher and educator in menopausal medicine at the Jean Hailes Foundation.

She was Nadia Maffei Research Fellow. Her work validated that good health was a combination of diet and lifestyle.

She has tutored first year Monash Medical students in the Health Enhancement program. She advocates for the role of mindfulness and health.
Dr Murkies joined the NIIM research team in 2022 as Chief Investigator in the Long Covid clinical trial. This has inspired her to commence as a clinician to further treat long covid patients and continue to learn in a supportive and likeminded environment at NIIM.
