Based in Hawthorn, Melbourne, the NIIM Clinic brings together Integrative General Practitioners, Medical Specialists and Allied Health Professionals to help patients on their healthcare journey. At a community level we provide health education and research to advance the understanding and value of integrative medicine, to promote health literacy, early intervention and improved disease management at a population level.
About the position
We are seeking a permanent full time Practice Nurse who is passionate about patient care and enjoys being in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. A key aspect of this role will be building strong relationships with doctors and clinicians in providing a quality integrative care model for patients and supporting the Executive Manager, Clients Services in growing the business and patient care model.
The duties you will action are:
- Assisting integrative doctors in minor surgical procedures & wound management
- Work closely with the NIIM doctors and clinicians to ensure a high standard of integrative care for our patients.
- Maintain organisational systems, processes and policies that maximise productivity and efficiency
- Ensure quality assurance with stock management and control.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and comply with all AHPRA registration requirements and Practice Standards.
- Phone triage / working with medical admin team
- Creating and reviewing Care Plans
What you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to engage with a new patient to become an ongoing NIIM patient
- Knowledge of Best Practice preferable
- Understand of the quality and safety standards required in a medical clinic
