NIIM invites Abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations at the
10th Annual NIIM Symposium
Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September 2025 – Amora Riverwalk Hotel, Richmond (VIC)

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The 10th Annual NIIM Symposium will draw together a wide range of national and international experts in the field of Integrative Medicine. The audience includes medical practitioners and other healthcare professionals such as pharmacists, nurses, naturopaths, allied health practitioners, researchers and students. The NIIM Symposium will include an open workshop which will be the Abstract Stream where the best three (3) submissions present their research. Other selected abstracts may display posters.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
The NIIM Symposium Program Committee will consider abstracts of original contributions, for presentation as oral and/or poster communications. All abstracts for consideration and peer review by the NIIM Symposium Program Committee should be submitted by email to: research@niim.com.au no later than Friday 25th July 2025 Authors will be notified of acceptance as soon as the decisions are reached by the Committee prior to 1st August 2025.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO PRESENT AN ABSTRACT, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE EVENT
Expenses such as accommodation and/or travel are the full responsibility of the abstract presenter. The abstract presenter will have access to 1 x complimentary Symposium ticket. Submission of an abstract implies permission to publish it in the Program of the 10th Annual Symposium by NIIM. Registration is required for abstracts to be published, presented or displayed.
HOW YOUR ABSTRACT WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE SYMPOSIUM
Successful submissions of Abstracts will be invited to provide an oral presentation, with use of power-point of approximately 10 minutes duration during a Concurrent Workshop, one of which one will be the Abstract Stream, with Q&A at the end.
POSTERS: These will be displayed on boards in the Poster display area during the entire NIIM Symposium on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 September 2025, for viewing by delegates during the breaks. We request that ALL Abstract presenters be available near their posters during the breaks for questions.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Complete the form below and forward with relevant attachments about the Abstract.
ABSTRACT FORMAT & CONTENT
The abstract is to be submitted in MS Word document. The text of the abstract must be typed 12 point font, single line-spacing, and should not exceed 250 words. Abstracts should have the following format: Background; Objectives; Methods; Results; Conclusions. Abstracts, oral presentations and posters MUST NOT contain any kind of advertising.
POSTER PRESENTATION
Poster presentations will be displayed in a dedicated section of the conference area. Individual poster sizes must not exceed 90cm in width and 120 cm in height. Please provide the organiser with your Poster prior to the event or hand to the organiser at the beginning of the event on Thursday 11 September 2025.

ACCEPTANCE OF ABSTRACT
Applications must be received by Friday 25th July 2025. Only Abstracts that fulfil the above requirements will be considered with due consideration given to originality and quality.
Notification will be sent via email to the presenting author in relation to acceptance and presentation by
Friday 1st August 2025. The decision of the NIIM Committee is final in relation to acceptance or rejection of presentations.
CONDITIONS
The Abstract presenter MUST REGISTER AND PAY THE DELEGATE FEE TO ATTEND the Symposium as a delegate before, or at the time of, submitting the abstract. An abstract WILL NOT be accepted if the Abstract Presenter has not registered as a delegate to attend the Symposium.
If successful, you will be required to confirm your acceptance of the invitation and register to attend the conference (if not already registered). Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the Conference Program.
