AYURVEDA

At NIIM we often Ayurveda, the ancient Indian therapy that uses diet, lifestyle, herbs, energetics and therapeutic techniques to help achieve balance and health.

According to Ayurveda, every person is unique and has a specific mind-body constitution (Dosha / Prakruti). There are three main Doshas: Vata, Pitta & Kapha. These three Doshas exist in all things in the universe in varying degrees. When this unique doshic combination is in balance, it is called Prakruti. When it is disturbed, it is called Vkruti which impacts health and wellness. An Ayurveda practitioner will gently guide you back to your Prakruti or optimal health where you will be able to be your best self.

There are a number of Ayurveda & Yoga therapies prescribed in the ancient text that support detoxification and rejuvenation. They are recommended as Swasthacharya or health routines that should be used frequently to improve or maintain health and wellbeing. It is important to have an initial consultation to assess your Prakruti & Vkruti Doshic state to select the right herbs and therapies that match your health needs.
