Did you know that sleep is an important element of every person’s overall health and wellbeing? And, it is often the most neglected one.

Sleep is important because it enables the body to repair and prepare for another day. Getting the right amount of sleep may also prevent stress, anxiety and may also help prevent excess weight gain, heart disease, and increased illness duration. Sleep problems are of different types and can arise from different causes.

We wanted to unpack this topic more and will be diving deeper into the conversation with David Morawetz, a counselling psychologist and sleep specialist and our own NIIM integrative GP Dr Sandra Parsons, one of her special interests is Mind Body Medicine, focused on the body’s ability to heal itself.
